Sashalab

The project:

Creation of the WordPress website SashaLab

Sashalab is a research center of the Faculty of Architecture of the Free University of Brussels that gathers works and researchers who have in common to work on the links between architecture and human sciences.

The website has been updated both on the design and technical level.

The update highlights the Sashalab research center with an internal search module on all the works and researchers.

On the technical level, the CMS that underlies the site has moved from Drupal to WordPress.

The site has about ten authors. Both permanent and guest.

The design of the site was created by Farweb.

The development is done under WordPress with Gutenberg. It benefits from a “Full site Editing” theme which allows to modify the whole site via the Gutenberg editor.

The search modules, among others, are custom Gutenberg blocks. The WordPress back-office is lightened and focused on editing via a custom plugin.

The maintenance is provided via a security package to ensure its stability over time.
